Have you always wanted to see the Northern Light and icebergs? Do you want to see the northern most and smallest capital of the world? The opportunity is yours with this one-week arctic combo.

 

Description

With a maximum of 12 guests, you will experience Greenland in a cozy and relaxed environment.

Onboard the ship Kisaq (Greenlandic for Anchor) you will experience the Nuuk Fiord, the second largest fiord system in the world. We will sail to the abandoned village of Qoornoq, sail through the beautiful ice fiord, visit Kapisillit, a settlement with 40 inhabitant and take a hike around beautiful Qooqqut, an old sheep farm nestled in the bottom of a bay. With a bit of luck, we might see sea eagles, reindeer and snow hare.
During the expedition, feel free to talk to the crew, all born and raised in Greenland.

In Nuuk, we will stay at the brand-new Hotel Aurora, a boutique hotel in an up-and-coming area of the city. We will take a guided city-tour by bus and then you have time to explore on your own. It’s possible to visit for example the Art Museum, the National Museum and many other cultural attractions. The aquatic center is modern and offers sauna and jacuzzi. Dine at one of the many restaurants and enjoy some of the local cuisine. If you are interested in additional adventures or tours, we are happy assist with the planning.

 

This week is a soft adventure, for those dreaming of seeing Greenland and Nuuk in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

During the cruise, we use a Zodiac (a small dinghy) to transport you between Kisaq and the different land-based adventures. If you’re more comfortable relaxing onboard, the crew will take care of you while the other guests go ashore.

Included: all transfers, welcome brunch or farewell dinner, breakfast at Hotel Aurora, full board on Kisaq – meals, coffee, tea, chocolate
